Chester History and Heritage holds a vast collection of images of Chester and the surrounding district of which over 6000 have now been digitised.

Our collection includes historic photographs, postcards, sketches, prints and water colour paintings of Chester and District. The Chester Image Bank comprises a combination of photographs and other images from collections held in the Chester City Archives (now Cheshire and Chester Joint Archive Service)

You can search for pictures of the Eastgate Clock, Chester Cathedral, Chester's Town Hall and also for images of transport, industry and countryside in Chester District through the centuries.
